A sample of our industry clients follows; we would welcome you as a partner to add to this quite impressive slate:
Automotive: An integrated modernization (HATS) solution for one of the world’s most recognizable automobile manufacturers who set the standard for quality and excellence in automotive engineering, manufacturing, and process re-engineering. Using Rational HATS solutions Oxford led a global modernization program for importers and dealer systems in North America, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, and Japan, a fully internationalized and multi-lingual system customized to each markets unique marketing practices and regulatory compliance needs. State Government: In addition to earlier modernization projects for a mid-west agency, Oxford was also selected to support a similar project for a southern stage agency, constructing web and web services with RDz and HATS in a zOS CICS Cobol and Natural environment. Leverage of these legacy systems enabled services integration to new, self-service Java applications, streamlining the application process and reducing administrative workload to effectively manage applications for community support services while reducing costs.
Manufacturing: For a specialty bearings manufacturer; already a web facing user (web-facing is now a component of the HATS product set), Oxford demonstrated the extensive capabilities of HATS to improve their external customer presentation layer, realize productivity benefits such as single sign-on for legacy access from their web site and generate visual images of component parts from an order processing application. HATS will provide the client with an improved competitive advantage system as a B2B solution, while leveraging the asset value of their mission critical legacy applications.
Distribution & Logistics: For a warehouse management and logistic services customer, Oxford implemented a RTC-Arcad CLM and SCM solution to replace a technical deficient proprietary SCM product. Resolving critical software management functions for multiple applications and versions for dependency analysis, automated builds and deployments, while establishing workstream processes to support collaborative software development practices, has positioned the customer to take advantage of accelerated software delivery benefits through continuous builds and integration to the quality testing cycle.
Consumer Products: For one of the world’s largest global apparel companies, Oxford delivered its industry renowned Rational Developer for Power (RDp) training program for a team of 50 RPG and SQL developers. The training program was delivered onsite in New Jersey, under contract to the customer’s hardware business partner.
Healthcare: For this major healthcare services provider, Oxford delivered Rational Team Concert and Rational Developer for Power implementation, customization, team mentoring and formal training programs through our ‘quick start’ services, to provide a unified software delivery solution, accelerated software development, and improved governance across its Power legacy and Java technologies.
IBM: As one of IBM’s most respected partners, Oxford is honored to have delivered a number of services and training engagements for IBM worldwide business units. These include: • HATS for zOS, for one of the largest police departments in the country Oxford was contracted to modernize a crime and emergency management system. Rational HATS was used to modernize an aging user interface, improve information availability, enable historical crime base searches and automatically refresh queries while tracking real-time status of incidents in progress. • Rational Team Concert; process analysis and implementation planning for a major International bank in Madrid, Spain that utilized multi-platform, multi-technology banking applications of ~100+ processes deployed across SQL servers and IBMi platforms. Software delivery processes-within-processes generated from mergers and acquisitions were analyzed and RTC process examples presented to demonstrate a road map for adoption of a unified software delivery process. • HATS for zOS: as an early first step in a legacy retirement strategy, constructed and deployed the first modernization application for a state agency to provide HATS web services integration with a new COTS application; trained and mentored legacy team members in best practice HATS techniques. • HATS for zOS and AIX; for an east coast state agency Oxford was contracted to provide HATS upgrade services for existing applications and to configure web and new application servers in a distributed architecture with mainframe legacy applications
Financial Services: for a rapidly growing financial services corporation, Oxford implemented, configured, customized and trained the customer’s legacy teams in Rational Developer for Power and Rational Team Concert for Power. Customized processes for software delivery across RPG, SQL and Java platforms were established, with 2012 plans to leverage CLM productivity benefits of Agile practices, continuous builds and test cycle integration.
Financial Services: for a global leader in wealth management services, Oxford demonstrated how a zOS HATS solution could resolve information security challenges resident in their 3270 legacy applications that left open telnet ports through their secure firewall. Working with our customer, Oxford conducted a PoC to validate HATS as a solution that would deliver dynamic transformation of 3270 screens to its external users as HTML in a secure HTTPS browser-based solution. Not only did Oxford validate HATS as a more secure solution, but also a solution that would greatly simplify firewall and overall security infrastructure and administration of the customer’s IT environment. The result? The customer purchased Rational HATS licenses to replace telnet software, thereby improving security while modernizing and simplifying the user interface to its external fund managers.
Independent Software Vendor: for this leading Independent Software Vendor (ISV) in medical billing and practice management solutions for hospital and office based practices, Oxford partnered with our client to demonstrate the productivity benefits of Rational software solutions. The customer decided to replace its current web-facing proprietary software with Rational HATS as an integral component of a strategic software program to meet new federal healthcare regulatory compliance. This solution will provide new competitive advantage, improve the quality and reliability of technical support, while ensuring long-term product stability.
